             The Centro Cultural Gaucho General Bento Gonçalves, founded on September 20, 1992, is based in Los Angeles, California, United States of America.

                    It's a non-profit organization and is affiliated with the Movimento Tradicionalista Gaucho, which has its headquarters in Porto Alegre, state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The Movimento Tradicionalista Gaucho has the support of the Secretariat of Education and Culture of the state of Rio Grande do Sul.

                    The purpose of this organization is to promote and preserve the culture, costumes and traditions of the state of Rio Grande do Sul. They also promote family values, striving to unite each family and all families together as one family. There is no discrimination by nationality, race, color, religion or ideology.

                    The majority of member families of the Centro Cultural Gaucho are immigrants from the state of Rio Grande do Sul, but a couple more are from other states of Brazil. Still others are from the United States and Peru.

                 Whenever the members of the Centro Cultural Gaucho General Bento Gonçalves have meetings, they must obey municipal, state and federal laws.

               At every meeting, they fly the flag of the United States of America, the friendly country and base of the Centro Cultural Gaucho; the flag of Brazil, the country of origin of this movement; the flag of the state of Rio Grande do Sul, the state of origin of this movement; and the flag of the Centro Cultural Gaucho General Bento Gonçalves, the symbol of this organization.

                    The Centro Cultural Gaucho General Bento Gonçalves does not have its own headquarters. The current headquarters is at the Rancho Desgarrado do Pago, the house of the Patrão (President), Mr. Jatir Cosme Delazeri, whose address is:
